MIKE LOVE

Mike Love hat einen einzigartigen Stil und Sound entwickelt, der seine Wurzeln in der Spiritualität und den Botschaften von Reggae und Rastafari hat, aber auch progressive und klassische Rockmusik, Soul, Blues, Flamenco, Jazz, Klassik und vieles mehr in sich vereint. Im Zentrum von Mikes Musik steht die Heilung - er ist ein aktiver Verfechter von Sozial-, Tier- und Umweltrechten und nutzt seine Musik als Werkzeug, um aufzuklären und zu vereinen.

Love begann im Alter von 15 Jahren Gitarre zu spielen und trat bald darauf als Frontmann der 10-köpfigen Band Dubkonscious auf. Er förderte seine Talente als Komponist/Texter, Arrangeur und produzierte auch das Album "At the Foot of the Mountain" der Band.

Danach begann Mike Love, an seiner mittlerweile international bekannten, energiegeladenen Ein-Mann-Band Style Show zu feilen, bei der er Looping, mehrere Instrumente und eine Reihe verschiedener Gesangstechniken und Musikstile einsetzt, um einen vollen und kraftvollen Sound zu erzeugen, der dich kaum glauben lässt, dass er alleine auf der Bühne steht.

Im Dezember 2012 erschien Loves erstes Soloalbum, das von der Kritik hochgelobte "The Change I'm Seeking". Auf dem Album ist sein Hit Permanent Holiday zu hören, der auf YouTube zum viralen Hit wurde und derzeit mehr als 35 Millionen Aufrufe hat, wodurch sich seine Fangemeinde bis in die hintersten Winkel der Welt vergrössert hat.

Mit der Veröffentlichung seines zweiten Albums "Love Will Find a Way" und dem darauffolgenden Begleitalbum "Love Overflowing" festigte Love die Bindung zu seinen Fans und zeigte die Entwicklung, die sie von seiner Musik erwartet haben.

Love ist auf weltweit auf Festivals und aufgetreten, sowohl solo als auch mit seiner Band The Full Circle. Er hat die Bühne mit Künstlern wie Michael Franti, Rebelution, Steel Pulse, Groundation, Xavier Rudd, John Butler, Dave Matthews, Dub Inc., Trevor Hall, Nahko and Medicine for the People und Jack Johnson geteilt.

Revolutionary music may seem hard to come by in these times, but that doesn’t mean the revolution isn’t still brewing. Meet Hawaii’s Mike Love – who spreads his positive and powerful message across the globe.

Love developed a unique style and sound rooted in the spirituality and message-based music of reggae and Rastafari, while also fusing progressive and classic rock, soul, blues, flamenco, jazz, classical, and more. At the core of Mike’s music, is healing – he is an active social, animal and environmental rights advocate, using his music as a tool to educate and unite.

Love started playing guitar at the age of 15, and soon after began performing live as frontman for 10-piece band Dubkonscious. He then furthered his talents as a composer/lyricist, arranger and also producer on the band’s album At the Foot of the Mountain.

He then began to hone what has now become an internationally recognized, power-packed, one-man-band style show, using looping, multiple instruments and an array of different vocal techniques and musical styles to create a full and powerful sound that belies the fact that he is on stage alone. Love's solo performances have since taken him to some of the largest stages in the world.

December 2012 saw the release of Love’s first solo album, critically acclaimed The Change I'm Seeking. The album features his hit track Permanent Holiday, which went viral on YouTube and currently has more than 35 million views, expanding his fan base to the furthest corners of the globe.

With the release of his second album Love Will Find a Way and follow-up companion album Love Overflowing, Love solidified the bond with his fans, exhibiting the evolution they have come to expect from his music.
